How do you fancy using random words as a writing prompt? The aim is to use each of the five words presented in a piece of short fiction up to 200 words. Give your piece a good story arc to make it a satisfying read. The words may be nouns, adjectives, verbs or adverbs and as long as the root word remains the same, you can adjust it to suit your context. For example, if the random word is yellow, you could change it to yellowing, yellowed.
The words presented for your use today have been provided by the Random Word Generator. I certainly concur that they are random!

If you can add a twist to your story, you might want to enter it into the free Fusili Flash Fiction competition. (The competition is named after the pasta twists for a reason). They accept stories with a twist, up to 200 words. There is a maximum of one story per person and the competition closes once there are 100 entries.
Good luck!

Nice post Gail. I’ve responded behind the scenes.
Sorry you couldn’t edit your post Bruce, I’ll look into it.
Testing edit function. It works. Everyone responding now has ten minutes to edit their response to a blog post.
Great stuff!
