Are you a member of the ‘third age’ club?
Possibly you are just entering that period of life. Maybe you are already well into the swing.
Either way, how did you venture forth? Cautiously or full throttle? Are you a lady who lunches? A gentleman of the green? Or vice versa, perhaps?
Did you take the proverbial bull by the horns and pursue some long shelved activity of your youth, albeit a little less vigorously? Perhaps there was something you always wished you could experience but never found the time or the money?
There are so many pastimes on the spectrum from risk-averse to adrenalin junkie. Where do you lie?
If you are a sprightly young thing, how do you think you will embrace becoming a member of the third age army?
Write a short piece on your viewpoint, personal experience, a fictitious character, or an exploit.
Finally, I urge you to refuse to leave the realms of the third age. I, for one, will never admit to being a fully paid-up member of the ‘fourth age’ — an era of final dependence, decrepitude, and death!
