What do they sense?

We hadn’t noticed anything at first, and we’d had a few drinks. It was the first night of our last vacation in the boondocks of Louisiana. There was something . . . a sound, but not a sound, more like a vibration. Our two cats were looking up at something, and refused to move from where they were, even when offered a treat.

Sometimes animals sense things we humans don’t.

What did the cats sense?

Have any animals you know sensed something you couldn’t?

Write about the experience from your point of view, or from the animal’s point of view.

This is a re-publication of one of Bruce’s earliest Pensives for us from three years ago.
