Your Monday Muse for Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day coming up, here are some connected writing prompts in a Plain and Pearl format.

Write 50 to 500 words inspired by one, more, or all of the following words, and/or by the split-kiss image.

Plain and Pearl for Valentine's Day
PLAIN: young love, softhearted, a huge crush, kiss and cuddle
PEARL: juvenile attraction, compassionate, utterly besotted, embrace in osculation

Plain and purl is a knitting concept. Plain and pearl is a writing prompt.

  1. True Love by Patricia Cole

Valentine?s Day comes round every year

With chocolates and flowers for partners so dear

Buy a card, buy some flowers but they?re ever so dear

We must spend the money our loves to endear

What happened to old fashioned love so sincere

No money was spent our love to revere

But little things done any time of the year

Reminded our loves it was not a veneer

So true love is not making smile the cashier

But smiling when life is so very austere

Scratch his back, rub her shoulders it may not appear

Very glamorous to you, but listen see here

The love that you share has to last year to year

Not only a day when shops profiteer

So valentine?s day?s every day, make it clear

By the little things daily to keep your love near
